When you configure your RES WM environment with Windows authentication, you specify an Active Directory Group during the database creation wizard, this group is granted DBO permission on the database and the service account that is used to run the RES ONE Workspace Service needs to be a member of the AD Group to successfully connect to the database.īut when your Help desk or other staff members need access to the RES ONE WM Console they need to be a member of the same Active Directory group that’s used for the service account, this means that all these users have DBO permission on the database on your MS SQL server. You can run the RES ONE WM Console without requiring your account to have database access to the RES ONE WM Database.
